Minute to Win it Night Recap
On 6/27/2023 several youth and youth leaders had dinner together and then played “Minute to Win it” where a task is attempted to be completed in less than 60 seconds. Of our activities, Emma won the honor of best overall score and Elise gets the bragging rights as most skilled pencil flipper (flipping 7 pencils into cups in 60 seconds) and best performance for an acrobatic cookie, being able to get the cookie from her forehead to her mouth in just 26 seconds! Emma was able to keep all 3 balloons in the air for 17.8 seconds with a close second from Eli of 14 seconds. Quinn, Elise & Emma were all able to stack 7 dice (one on top of each other) while holding a craft stick between their teeth! No simple task I assure you! Other highlights of the night included learning about each other, including how many broken bones each of us had (the total was less than predicted given the number of other types of injuries reported!) and what new things we had learned since getting out of school. Some memorable highlights included learning to fly an airplane, how quickly you can lose your voice teaching in a pool area, how to spot poison ivy, and the value of good friends and family. We finished the night not only with lots of laughs but also with picking prizes and having some ice cream bars. Thanks to all who joined and supported this event! We are looking forward to more events soon!
