    Special Outreach Opportunities

Outreach Opportunities

  • HOLIDAY BASKETS --This year has been anything but typical. Operation Bootstrap which provides various assistances to individuals and households, has had their requests during this COVID year quadruple! Our wonderful Portage County community has responded to this pandemic with additional donations to Operation Bootstrap. We are extremely grateful to our own Beloved Community that also provided assistance to the Compassion Response Team ministry who has partnered with a number of individuals in 2020. We will continue to provide Holiday Baskets at Christmas, but we will be selecting families that we have already established a relationship with this past year vs. going through Operation Bootstrap. Sadly, our Giving Tree under which we’d typically place these gifts, will stay boxed up. But you can still help! Please make your checks payable to Church of the Intercession with a note, ‘Holiday Baskets’. Send to the Beloved Community’s address by December 18. THANK YOU!  Contact Kendra Cychosz or Rosie Bossenbroek should you have any questions.

  • MOBILE PANTRY --The Mobile Pantry always needs donations.  We have a grocery cart in the Narthex.  Fill it up with non-perishable items that we can donate to the Mobile Pantry.

  • OPERATION BOOTSTRAP--Operation Bootstrap needs all sorts of food donations, money, toiletries, and brown paper bags.  You can put any of these items in the grocery cart also and someone will take them over to Bootstrap.

  • CAP SERVICES-- Please see the Outreach portion of our bulletin board CAP Services Wish List.
